In case you didn’t run home and start cataloging your personal collection of books the last time I mentioned LibraryThing, you might want to now.
For a mere $15 you can get your very own :CueCat scanner (USB) that LibraryThing promises will work to scan your book barcodes. Some of you may have seen :CueCats while it was a failed advertising scheme.
kosmo tells me that RadioShack couldn’t give these things out for free a few years back.
That being said, who can resist a barcode scanner that looks like a cat and promises to work with LibraryThing to give you a great home-grown online-catalog? Mine is on its way, watch out world!

I still have a lot of books to enter on my LibraryThing. The CueCat makes the process go very quickly. I am presently using LibaryThing to list all my books so that I can weed them out.
I hope you have as much fun with the CueCat as I have had!
